Bestie Day | Dine About Town 02

Jeans: Mango Shirt: Zara Blazer: H&M Flats: Target Necklace: Tiffany & Co.
Sunnies: Thrifted Purse: Calvin Klein

One of the reasons why I moved to San Francisco was to be closer to my best friend. It took awhile
for me to figure out in New York what I was missing. I think I just miss having a close friend who
I can plan lunch dates with or go shopping or most importantly someone to talk to. Don't get me
wrong, I met a lot of incredible people, but no one could fill the shoes of my best friend. I
generally think life is all about surrounding yourself with loved ones and my life seems more
complete now that I'm living in San Francisco.
Anyways, we left our plus ones behind and planned a lunch date at Oola Restaurant. We wanted to
take advantage with the Dine About Town deal and Oola's menu caught our attention. The restaurant
is located on Folsom Street in the SoMa neighborhood. The buildings surrounding the restaurant is a
bit overwhelming, so locating the restaurant may be a challenge. The interior has an industiral feel,
contains beautiful high ceilings, and decorated with comtemporary furniture. It's definitely a trendy
restaurant and I'm sure it's popular amongs the locals. Anyways, I ordered from the Dine About Town
menu and I started off with the baby argula salad. The salad was pretty refreshing and I enjoyed the
huge shaved parmesan cheese and lemon vinaigrette dressing. As my main course I ordered the baby
back ribs which was an asian inspired flavorful dish. Lastly, for dessert we had frangelico
brioche bread pudding and it was very tasty. It reminded me of a filipino dessert my mother
used to make. Overall we had a great experience and best of all, we got to spend some quality
bestie time together.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks bestie for taking my ootd.

Gloomy Days | Dine About Town 01

Skirt: J.Crew Shirt: H&M Boots: Hunter Trench: DKNY Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Glasses: Warby Parker

On one of my days off this past week the weather was oh so gloomy. Though it was raining on and off
I still wanted to go out and about. The hubster and I decided to have lunch at Chouquet's Restaurant
since they were participating in the yearly Dine about Town. If you're a big foodie like I am this is a
great opportunity to try different restaurants. For lunch, certain restaurants offer 2 to 3 course meals for
$18.95 and/or for dinner a 3 course meal for $36.95.

Chouquet's, is a french restaurant located in the Pacific Heights neighorhood. It's a cute small swanky
restaurant situated on the corner of Fillmore and Washington. For my 2 course lunch meal I ordered
the salad nicoise and croque monsieur. Both dishes were delicious but I wished the croque monsieur
was not overcooked. To top of the lunch they have amazing lattes which in my opinion was the best
I ever had. From what I also heard they have great brunch specials on the weekend.

Hope you have an amazing weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Napa Valley

Dress: Tucker for Target Blazer + Sunnies: Thrifted Tights: Target Purse: Calvin Klein

This past weekend I got an opportunity to spend the day in Napa Valley. It was my first time and
I'm honestly not a huge wine enthusiast like my friends. The day started out having brunch at
Fish Story followed by wine tasting at Artesa and V.Sattui. The wineries articheture and landscape
are completely different from each other but both were wonderful places to visit. Personally, my
favorite winery has to be V.Sattui just because it reminded me of italy and I love that the winery
has a picnic area and a deli. V.Sattui was voted 2012 best winery and it's their third award. If you
happen to be in the area I highly recommend this wonderful winery.

Thanks for stopping by.

Lighthouse

Cardigan + Shirt + Bracelet: J.Crew Jeans: Levi's Oxford: Steve Madden Purse: Calvin Klein
Sunnies: Thrifted

It's been about a month since I moved to California and life in the bay still doesn't feel real.
Even though I started my new job, settled into my apartment, and spent quality time with friends
it still has not sinked in that I'm living the California dream. I think the best part about living in
California is the amazing scenic coastlines. My husband and I drove on Highway 1 to get a better
sense of how beautiful this state is. Along the road we spotted this lighthouse and decided to pull
over to explore. Overall it was a great afternoon and I'm looking forward to many more
mini roadtrips.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

On Repeat

Sweater + Tights: Target Skirt: Forever 21 Boots: Old Navy Coat: DKNY
Purse: Rebecca Minkoff Shirt + Sunnies: Thrifted Necklace: Charlotte Russe

Quick Post:
These Old Navy boots and Target Sweater are my two essential items I wear periodically.
For some it's a fashion no-no to constantly wear items over and over but for some, like
myself, it's all about the versatility and comfort it offers. The best part with these items it
did not cost me a fortune. What's an essential item you wear all the time???

Eight years ago my husband bought me the best gift anyone could ever had. My big
baby turned 8 today. Happy Birthday Pudge!

The Palace

Jeans: Levi's Shirt: Forever 21 Cardigan: Banana Republic Jacket: JCP Shoes: Old Navy
Scarf: J.Crew Purse: Calvin Klein Glasses: Warby Parker "Ainsworth"

Oh goodness! It's been chilly in the bay area these past few days. I seriously felt like I was back
in the east coast. In one of my adventures to explore more of the city I had to check out the
Palace of Fine Arts. It's a beautiful structure that was build in the early 1900's. The architecture
is absolutely gorgeous and the park is a great romantic hot spot.

The best part about exploring a new city is finding great places to eat. My husband and I
are big foodies and a few friends had mentioned we should check out Burma Superstar. Since
it was close to the Palace of Fine Arts we headed out for a late lunch with family. It was our first
time eating Burmese food and I was not sure what to expect. I usually read Yelp reviews
beforehand to see what are some of the popular dishes to order. My favorite dish was a tea leaf
salad which was featured in Food Network. The salad consists of Burmese tea leaves, lettuce,
fried garlic, yellow peas, peanuts, sunflower, and sesame seeds. It's a refreshing and light dish
that is filled with yummy goodness.

TGIF everyone! Hope you have a fabulous weekend.
