Burgundy Fall

Sweater + Slacks: H&M Heels: Zara Purse: United Colors of Benetton Necklace: Charlotte Russe

A simple outfit showcasing a popular vibrant color for the Fall .. Burgundy! If you guys follow me via
Instagram you know I just recently cut and colored my hair. How do you guys like it? As for me I
needed something low maintenance and I am very pleased with the results. I think I want to
go shorter :)

Once in awhile I will come across a restaurant that is a real gem or it can be a total bust. That's
why I love being adventurous and trying out different restaurants. In my latest find I had dinner
with a few friends at Carlton Park. Carlton Park is a restaurant situated on a corner lot
overlooking a busy street. It offers a wonderful outdoor seating and the interior is beautifully
decorated. The restaurant utilizes fresh local organic ingredients and emphasizes on healthy eating.
Unfortunately, 1 out of 4 enjoyed the restaurant and lucky me I ordered a dish that was a winner.
I didn't even bother posting pictures of their dishes because frankly it's not worth it. So back
to my winning dish, I ordered the Long Island Duck which is served with roasted baby carrots
topped with spiced cashews and crispy confit chestnut spaetzle on the side. My duck was cooked
perfectly and it was well seasoned. The only dislikes I have is the food portion for the price and
the overally expensive cocktail drinks (it wasn't even good). To sum it up though my dish was
delicious I probably won't be coming back to Carlton Park. Too bad it's a BUST!

Coney Island

Tee: Victoria Secret Skirt: Forever21 Scarf: H&M Cardigan: J.Crew Sandals: Target
Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs Belt & Sunnies: Thrifted

The 1st day of Fall kicked off this past Saturday and I'm absolutely loving the weather right now. This is by
far my favorite season for leisure and fashion. Our Sunday funday was spent in Coney Island Boardwalk.
The amount of years I been living in Brooklyn I never took advantage on how close proximity I live to the
area. Coney Island Boardwalk and Beach was surprisingly beautiful and has improved in appearance. I
definitely will have to come more often and perhaps go jogging along the Boardwalk. We had lunch at the
original Nathan's Famous the quintessential new york hot dog. The hubster orderd two hot dogs with
chili but I ventured away and ordered the lobster roll. The lobster roll was actually flavorful and delicious.
It was probably one of the best rolls I ever had just because it had a lot of lobster meat and it was not
packed with mayo or veggies. The best part about the lobster roll it only cost $6.00.

The Black Label

Sweater: Old Navy Skirt: Forever21 Sunnies + Belt: H&M Heels: Zara Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Bonjour from Paris!!! Just kidding. Washington Square Park to be exact.

"The Black Label"(sigh). This pass week me and the hubster had a lunch date at Minetta Tavern. Owner
Keith McNally (famous nyc restaurateur) opened Minetta Tavern in 2009. The establishment was built in
1937 and when you first walk into the restaurant your brought back into that era. Minetta Tavern, originally
claimed to be the best steakhouse in nyc but unfortunately throughout the years "The Black Label" received
more of the public's attention. The first time I've heard about this famous "Black Label" was from Anthony
Bourdain. "The Black Label" is basically an expensive ass burger with a price tag of $26. The burger is
created with the finest prime dry-aged graded beef therefore the burger is very moist, juicy, and flavorful.
When you first bite into the burger you are experiencing an exquisite creation. Though I probably won't be
craving the burger in the future it was definitely a good experience to try. I can totally agree with Anthony
that it was the best and most expensive burger I've ever had.

Spot and Sunset

Shirt: Forever21 Skirt+Heels+Bracelet: J.Crew Sunnies: Thrifted Necklace: Birdhouse Jewelry Watch: Husband's Watch

A few of my friends are in town this week and we decided to celebrate a birthday at Spot Dessert Bar.
I've always passed this little place but never had a chance to try it out till now. I must admit I have a big
sweet tooth so when I heard they serve a chocolate molten lava cake with a green tea white chocolate
ganache filling I had to go. The dessert bar offers many different arrays of desserts such as cupcakes, ice
creams, macarons, cookies, and many more. The husband ordered the famous green tea lava cake and I
ordered the green tearamisu. Our first bite was heavenly and endorphin's reached a peak of excitement. It
was a wonderful experience for all of us and I can't wait to try more of their desserts.

Sunday Funday [Williamsburg Flea Market]

In my weekend quests to explore more of New York I ventured out to Williamsburg
Brooklyn. I've been living in New York for seven years and I must say I've never been to
Williamsburg. To my surprise it reminded me a little bit of the east village. I met up with a
friend and she showed me around. We decided to check out the
and they were hosting a food feast. I managed to splurged on a white chocolate banana
cream pie and it was delicious. There are many different and wonderful vendors found at
the flea market. I came across this cute little jewelry shop called
They offer simple unique jewelry and the best part it's very affordable. I bought a charm
necklace that represents the states that I adore. My past home was Louisiana, my current
home New York, and my future home California. Williamsburg sunday funday turned out
 to be a good one.

4. Cartier Tank Watch
5. Emilio Pucci Embellished Snake Wrap Bracelet
6. Sergio Rossi Green Python Luxor Sandals

Sorry for the lack of posting this past week. I had visitors that came into town so I had
to play tour guide. Anyways, I wanted to get back into gear with a Wishful Wednesday
Edition. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week officially kicks off tomorrow. I'm not fortunate
enough to attend any fashion shows but a girl can dream big. If I had the opportunity to
attend a show I think this outfit would be my ideal outfit. The weather in New York is
still warm so I wanted to keep my outfit simple but pick bold statement pieces. It seems
python is hot this season and I definitely incorporated that into my wishful wardrobe.

If you had an opportunity to attend one NY fashion show what designer would you see?
