Quick Post:
Lent is a forty-day preparation for Easter. The word "Lent" actually means fasting. Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of repentance, fasting, and spiritual discipline. For this year I decided to give up profanity. Every time I curse I add a dollar to a pot and towards the end of Lent season the money collected in the pot I will donate it to my church. Sounds fair.
Another restriction is Christians are forbidden to eat meat on Friday. This is one of those moments I wish I was back in New Orleans. So many selections on seafood and especially crawfish season is very active. In order to get my N.O. fix I prepared shrimp po-boys for dinner. I must say it came out extremely delicious and it reminded me of home. Thanks to New Orleans Cuisine for posting a wonderful shrimp po-boy recipe.
**Edit
Oh yes, tomorrow Sonia Rykiel's line for H&M will be released. Unfortunately I will be working this weekend but I do hope I get a chance to grab some items on my next day off.
