My sunday funday started out having lunch with our friends at Sheep Station. This local parkslope 

restaurant specialize in traditional Australian food and beer. It's nestled in the corner of 4th avenue 

and Douglass St. After reading several yelp reviews and our friend's praising the popular, "The 

Shearer's Burger", I decided to try it out myself. The Shearer's Burger is a gourmet burger that is 

served with beets, pineapple, fried egg, lettuce, tomato, and onions. It was delicious and very unique 

burger. I enjoyed it very much especially the fried egg and cooked pineapple. I'm such a big fan with 

it comes to foods that have a sweet and savory taste and this burger definitely suits my palette. 

This establishment is a cash only restaurant so don't forget to stop by the atm.

restaurant week 01 - David Burke's Kitchen

 NYC restaurant week is a great treat for any new yorkers or tourist that want to try 

out expensive restaurants on a friendly budget. It usually runs for 4 weeks and there 

are several restaurants that participate. Restaurant week officially kicked off last 

weekend but since it was a busy week at work I had to plan something this weekend

 instead. I planned lunch with a good friend at David Burke Kitchen and it's awesome 

that you can get a 3 course meal for only $24.07.

I been currently experimenting with pattern blocking so decided to work with simple patterns first.

Being an avid fan of Blair's style c/o Atlantic-Pacific she is truly an expert when it comes to 

pattern blocking. Her style is inspirational and chic. Don't you agree?

Me and the hubster we love looking for great restaurants with specials. In our latest find, thanks to
a friend's recommendation, we checked out The Burger Bistro. The burger bistro is a innovative 
gourmet burger restaurant. They only buy the freshest ingredients and allow guests to create 
there perfect burger. You can get a burger with your choice of side for only $10.00 but it's only 
good during lunch on weekdays. I had an amazing burger served with wheat bread, caramelized
 onions, and asiago cheese. The sweet potatoes fries was the best I ever had. It's perfectly 
battered and the fries was soft and crispy.

Heatwave

The heat wave is back and in action. This 100 degree weather is uncomfortable and it makes 

outdoor activities so unbearable. After I got off work this morning I had a few errands to run so I 

had to endure this humidity for a few hours. Since it's freaking hot outside I did manage to 

buy some Halo-Halo (a filipino dessert beverage) it's perfect for this type of weather.

City Island

This summer we wanted to take a trip to Maine but due to our work schedule and funds 

we had to cancel and improvise. Well just northeast of Manhattan lies a small island called 

"City Island". City Island, is a historic seaport community that has a New England feel and it's 

well known for there array of seafood restaurants . It's not Maine but it's close enough to get 

our lobster fix. We found a sweet restaurant deal that offered a $17 lobster meal that includes

 a 1 1/2 lb lobster, choice of salad or soup, and one side. Not so shabby huh?

Mellow Monday

The east coast heat wave is taking a break this week so I decided to wear a light

long sleeve. I just love the orange color it screams summer.

I had to skip my Sunday Funday yesterday due to work so I'm having a Mellow Monday.

We decided to have breakfast at Ikea Brooklyn. It's probably not the most healthiest 

breakfast but you can't beat the $2 deal. I especially enjoy the view of the city while

 I drink my coffee. After breakfast we just walked around, did some wishful thinking, 

and bought small necessities for the apt.

If you celebrated the Fourth of July I hope you had a wonderful time with family or friends.

As for me I stayed home and was fortunate to have my hubster cook dinner for me. After dinner

 we worked our way upstairs on our roof and watched the fireworks. To top our evening we 

indulged on some french macarons. If you happen to be in the Brooklyn area and don't feel like

 traveling to Laudree I recommended Bo Bon to get your macaron fix.

I kinda miss blogging therefore I'm back!

Here's a few pics of our dinner cruise on the Hudson. It was a pretty good 

experience being able to see the city in a different perspective. Since we'll be leaving 

nyc in a few months we have constructed a bucket list. I'm proud to say Bucket List #12 

has been achieved. On to the next one ...
